The Zhuyuwan Scenic Spot boasts a large area of afforestation and various plants, which amazes visitors with its outstanding natural beauty.
Zhuyuwan’s attractions include:
1.Hefeng Quqiao (Lotus Zigzag Bridge)
The bridge was built at the edge of an ancient canal in Yangzhou. According to the legend, Master Jianzhen, a renowned monk during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), went ashore at the Zhuyuwan port when he returned to Yangzhou from Chang'an (present-day Xi'an, Shaanxi province), capital city of China during the Tang Dynasty, and was amazed by the delicate fragrance of lotus.
2.Waterfowl Lake
At the end of the Lotus Zigzag Bridge, visitors can find an ecological garden, which provides a habitat for waterfowl.
3.Monkey Island
The island lies to the north of Waterfowl Lake. The surroundings are based on Huaguoshan (Flower and Fruit) Hill, home to the Monkey King in the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.
Monkey Island, which is surrounded by water on all sides and decorated with plants, strange stones, and carvings, looks like a fairy tale wonderland. The main peak is about 10 meters, with “Shui Lian Dong” (Water Curtain Cave) written in seal characters.
4.Ferocious Beasts Garden
Located to the west of Monkey Island, the Ferocious Beasts Garden has an undulating terrain and is covered by all kinds of plants and dotted with artificial hills and waterfalls.
The garden is divided into three sub-gardens – “Lion Garden”, “Tiger Garden” and “Bear Garden”
