Delicate cultural creative products from the Slender West Lake scenic area were also displayed in the park's Chuitai Pavilion.
The pavilion was built on the basis of the Fishing Platform (Diaoyutai) in Slender West Lake scenic area, a favorite retreat of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
Tu Xiaoqing, children's literature writer from Yangzhou, told fairy tales to children in the pavilion. Her stories, filled with humor and philosophy, enraptured the children.
Zhang Guilian, director of Yangzhou Tourism Bureau, said that through this promotional fair, Beijing citizens could know more about Yangzhou and put it on their lists of favored travel destinations.
