Yangzhou held a forum on summer tourism in the city on June 29, attracting over 1,000 government officials and business people.
With the theme of "summer in Yangzhou", the forum highlighted the attractiveness of visiting Yangzhou during summer, and showcased the tourist attractions on offer, as well as discussing opportunities for the development of tourism in the city.
Zhang Guilian, chief of the Yangzhou Tourism Bureau, introduced guests to various local intangible cultural heritages, vintage gardens, and traditional dishes.
A businessman from Zhejiang province said the forum had left him with a good impression of Yangzhou, a place he has long known about.
"Yangzhou has been marked down as one of our company's must-visit destinations," the businessman said.
The forum also gave the local service industries a good opportunity to gain more experience in undertaking large-scale events.
