The Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon kicked off in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on April 21.
The IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) Gold Label Road Race attracted 35,000 runners from more than 40 countries and regions, including more than 100 professional athletes.
The 21.09751-kilometer track linked the most popular cultural relics and historical parks in the city, such as the Grand Canal, Dongguan Street and Slender West Lake.
Berehanu Tsegu from Ethiopia and Perine Nengampi from Kenya won the men and women's races, respectively.
