Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province held a dragon boat race June 9, the last day of this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday. The race attracted 16 amateur teams from all walks of life.
The event aims to promote traditional Chinese culture and encourage people to live a healthy and energetic life, the organizers said.
"Such wonderful activities can arouse children’s interest in traditional culture," said a Yangzhou citizen, who brought his grandchild to the event.
