A large-scale chrysanthemum exhibition kicked off at Slender West Lake in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on Nov 1.
The event, which is slated to run until Nov 25, has more than 40,000 pots of chrysanthemums on display, more than any previous year.
Unlike previous years, this year's event features an array of cultural events, including a live-action show.
A chrysanthemum photography contest has been launched as well. Entries should be sent to 1963254799@qq.com by Nov 20.
Winners will be selected based on online votes and evaluation by experts. The total prize money is 1,700 yuan ($253.7).
