Cancer (22 June – 22 July)
Geyuan Garden
Historically important with the longest history of all classical gardens in China, the Geyuan Garden in Yangzhou was the dwelling spot for affluent salt merchants. The dense bamboo forests offer some solace and a peek into the region's fascinating history. Cancerians will be touched by the gentile feelings that remain in the well-preserved traditional garden.
Renovated and expanded by salt merchant Huang Zhiyun in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the garden is arranged predominately by bamboo and stones. Much of the architecture and furniture is circular, which reflects the Chinese notion of reunion and perfection.
If any star sign group is prone to spontaneity it is the Cancerians and those crabs are so filled with ideas that there is nothing better for a Cancer to do than sit in a tranquil garden and contemplate the nature of the world.
