Students at the High School Affiliated with Yangzhou University attended a lesson on fan paintings on Jan 18.
They painted birds, flowers, natural landscapes, and people's daily lives on fans and enjoyed its inside charm.
In order to promote and preserve intangible cultural heritage among youth, the high school began offering cultural courses on subjects such as fan paintings and paper-cutting to students. Students are taught about traditional culture and are given the chance to make works of their own.
