Red tourism route worth visit in Yangzhou

A tourism route in Yangzhou was recently included among the 20 quality tourism routes for Red tourism in Jiangsu province in a bid to teach people about the history of the Communist Party of China and promote local culture.

The tourism route includes the Yangzhou China Grand Canal Museum, Grand Canal Sanwan Scenic Area, Jiangdu Water Conservancy Project, Shaobo Ancient Town, Gaoyou Lake Reed Wetland Park, Huai'an Sanhezha Water Conservancy Scenic Area, Suqian Luoma Lake Tourism Resort, Zaohe Ship Lock, and Yaowan Ancient Town in Xinyi, Xuzhou.

The Yangzhou section of the route centers around the Grand Canal and spans the whole area of Yangzhou. Every scenic spot offers distinctive canal-themed cultures and splendid local civilizations from different periods, allowing people to conduct special research into Red culture and related resources and compile information on Party history.

There are more than 20 existing revolutionary sites and memorial facilities related to the history of the CPC in Yangzhou, which work as important sources of moral and traditional education.
