Yanhu village in Hanjiang district, Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province launched a fishery culture festival on May 28 as part of efforts to drive the development of rural tourism.
The event, which is a part of the 13th Jiangsu Rural Tourism Festival, will last a month, during which tourists can experience local fishery customs and enjoy local delicacies in Yanhu village, which is a national key village for rural tourism.
Shen Wenjie, director of the Yangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film, Television and Tourism, said that the city will hold more than 10 events during the festival period to help revive rural tourism.
