Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province organized an intangible cultural heritage fair at the China Grand Canal Museum on June 10 to mark the country's annual National Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, which took place on June 11.

Fifty intangible cultural heritage items and time-honored brands in the city, including Yangzhou wood carving, Yangzhou fried rice, Fuchun morning tea, dragon dance, and puppet shows, were on display at the fair.

Inheritors of Xiju Opera, pingtan (ballad singing in local dialect accompanied by a three-stringed lute known as pipa), and Wu ballads, were invited to perform at the fair.
The fair also featured a photo exhibition showcasing the city's intangible cultural heritage and development.
