Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province launched 16 rural tourism routes at the cultural and tourism consumption festival on July 15 to provide new travel experiences for tourists and local residents.
Here are the five of the routes.
Tour of Baoying county
Three of the travel routes - a one-day study tour, a one-day sightseeing tour and a two-day tour of summer resorts - can be found in Baoying county.
The study tour route, which costs 108 yuan ($16) per person, features a lotus garden, a maple garden and a school where the late Chinese premier Zhou Enlai had studied. Visitors can make reservations by calling (86) 17751360921 or (86) 17751360936.
On the sightseeing tour of the Baoying Lake national wetland park, visitors will get to view scenic landscapes and appreciate lotus flowers. The tour costs 138 yuan per person and tourists can make reservations by calling (86) 514-84644819 or (86) 13852558595.
The two-day tour of summer resorts in the Baoying Lake national wetland park and the Gaoyou Qingshuitan aquatic forest park is priced at 358 yuan per person. Reservations can be made by calling (86) 18946383702.
Tour of Gaoyou city
Gaoyou city is home to two travel routes: a one-day sightseeing tour of a fishing village and a one-day study tour.
The tour of the fishing village allows visitors to experience fishery culture and view the landscapes along Gaoyou Lake. The tour costs 58 yuan per person. Call (86) 514-87333366 to make reservations.
