Located along the Shaobo Lake in Hanjiang district of Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, the Beihu Lake Wetland Park is a popular leisure destination among many locals.
The park also has large swathes of wetlands which attract many species of birds.
The park, which is an important part of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River (Jianghuai) Ecological Corridor, plays a critical role in reducing regional flood peak discharge, the storing and purifying of water resources, and maintaining biodiversity.
