A tour route in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province was recently listed as a national boutique rural tourism route by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The route, which showcases the Luyang Lake Wetland Park, the Baita Riverside Holiday Resort and the Jiangdu water conservancy scenic area, is an ideal place to relax during weekends.
Luyang Lake Wetland Park
Located within Jiangdu district of Yangzhou, the Luyang Lake Wetland Park was named one of the provincial four-star rural tourism villages. Dubbed "a natural oxygen bar", the park is best renowned for its aquatic forest.
Taking a boat through the aquatic forest is the most popular activity among tourists.
Baita Riverside Holiday Resort
Situated in Jiangdu district of Yangzhou, the Baita Riverside Holiday Resort is also a provincial four-star rural tourism area. The holiday resort is known for its Huizhou-style architecture and idyllic scenery, and is a good option for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
Visitors can also enjoy the local delicacies and pick fruits and vegetables.
Jiangdu water conservancy scenic area
The Jiangdu water conservancy scenic area features natural vegetation and picturesque views and is a national water conservancy scenic zone.
The best time to go on this tour is from September to November.
