As the winter dawns upon us, Yangzhou has turned into a multicolored fairyland. The maple trees in the city have turned red after the recent drop in temperatures, enchanting visitors with the beautiful scenery.
"Yangzhou city boasts a large variety of maple trees," said Chen Weiyuan, professor of horticulture in Yangzhou Vocational University.
"The most common species are red maple, triangle maple, chicken claw maple and lacquer tree in aceraceae."
Yunhe Sanwan scenic spot, Slender West Lake scenic area, Geyuan Garden and the Song Jia City Sports and Leisure Park are the best gateways for visitors to capture the enthralling view of winter in Yangzhou where the leaves are tinged with bright colors.
