The water conservation scenic area in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province has been included in a provincial program aimed at improving the treatment of rivers and lakes, according to an announcement by the provincial Department of Water Resources on Jan 3.
Fifteen water conservation scenic spots in the province made the list.
The Yangzhou water conservation scenic area, which consists of the Jiangdu key water-control facility, the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal, the Sanwan Park, Guazhou water-control facility and Runyang river, is a clear result of river treatment efforts, said local authorities.
