The Huaiyang Cuisine Museum of China in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province was reopened to the public following the completion of renovations on May 25.
The renovated museum consists of a display area and an experience area aimed at promoting Huaiyang cuisine culture, said a local official.
The display area, which was built by a renowned salt businessman in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), is used for activities such as exhibitions and study tours.
The activities will allow visitors to learn more about the salt merchant culture and local cuisines.

The museum has also adopted modern technologies and sculptures to showcase the history and culture surrounding Huaiyang cuisine.
The museum has set a strong example of how to advance the protection and utility of ancient buildings as well as promote the city's delicacies across the world, according to authorities.
