The 40.5-kilometer Baoying Canal scenic belt in Baoying county, Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has become a popular destination to experience the canal culture and admire the breathtaking canal landscape.
The scenic belt is one of the outstanding achievements Yangzhou has made in the protection of ecological environment over the past few years.

Authorities have taken a series of measures, including advancing construction on the Grand Canal cultural belt, an ecological corridor along the Huaihe River, and treating sewage in a proper way.
