The Renfengli Folk Cultural Festival in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, has been listed among outstanding cases in boosting tourism consumption, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced on Sept 13.
Fifty cases in the province made the list.
Since 2020, the Renfengli Historical and Cultural Block has held 36 folk cultural events revolving around traditional Chinese festivals such as Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.

The activities attracted hundreds of thousands of people, receiving than 50,000 visitors during this year's Spring Festival holiday and generating tourism revenue of 1.5 million yuan ($205,945.60).
Authorities have also unveiled a series of favorable policies to encourage cultural companies to develop more cultural and creative products and roll out study tour packages in a bid to better preserve intangible cultural heritage items and handicrafts.
