Lycoris radiata, also known as red spider lilies, is now in full bloom in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, a sign that autumn and its cool temperatures have finally arrived after a scorching summer.

The blooming period usually lasts two weeks. Some of the best places to admire the flowers are Song Jia City Sports and Leisure Park, Slender West Lake scenic area, Zhuyuwan scenic area and Phoenix Island Ecological Resort.
Visitors have been advised not to touch the flowers as their bulbs are toxic.
