The China Grand Canal Origin Park in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province opened to the public on Oct 4, according to local media reports.
The 40,500-square-meter park is located at the strating point of the China Grand Canal which was first dug in 486 BC.

Sun Debiao, Party secretary of Zhuxi subdistrict in Hanjiang district, Yangzhou, said that the park is a great place for people to learn more about the history and culture surrounding the canal.
The park has also set up a camping base for natural exploration, cultural exchange and recreation.
