Cyclists converge on Gaoyou Lake for scenic annual race

The 15th Gaoyou Lake Cycling Race took place in Gaoyou, a county-level city in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, on May 12.

Cyclists rode around Gaoyou Lake, passing through the county-level cities of Gaoyou, Tianchang, Jinhu, and Baoying. Among them, the Gaoyou section of the course featured over 90 percent waterside and lakeside routes, offering beautiful scenery.

Gaoyou boasts two national 4A-level scenic spots, six 3A-level scenic spots, two provincial-level four-star rural tourism areas, and one provincial-level industrial tourism demonstration site. Covering 760 square kilometers, Gaoyou Lake is the sixth-largest freshwater lake in China and the third-largest in Jiangsu province.
