Yangzhou in Jiangsu province introduced over 200 cultural tourism activities and partnered with Nanjing and Zhenjiang to unveil 10 elaborate autumn tour routes during the launch ceremony of the Yangzhou Golden Autumn Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season held in Chongqing on Sept 23.

During the consumption season, a series of captivating performances, including Chinese operas, art shows, music carnivals and stage plays, will offer a marvelous blend of Yangzhou tradition and modernity.
One highlight not to be missed by visitors is the night tours. Embarking on a fantastic journey through the city's historic sites and scenic spots such as Slender West Lake, the Grand Canal, and Gaoyou Yucheng Postal Stop, visitors have the chance to savor the vibrant nightlife of this ancient city, with its beauty sure to linger in their memories.

Visitors will also have the chance to resonate with the city's vibrant pulse in a series of exciting sports events, including city orienteering, martial arts, and archery competitions.
Culinary experiences offer a taste of Yangzhou's enchanting gastronomy culture, with visitors able to indulge in the refreshing elegance of green tea, the delightful taste of shrimp roe noodles and the unique flavors of Huaiyang cuisines like Eight Treasure Duck, a gourd-shaped duck stuffed with eight stir-fried ingredients.

To boost cultural tourism development, Yangzhou has stepped up its efforts to encourage local catering enterprises and hotels to offer discount packages, open 42 indoor parking lots for free entry and set up over 70 voluntary service stations in iconic scenic spots.
