​The Mayors' Forum of the Culture Cities from China, Japan, South Korea and ASEAN countries concluded on Oct 25 in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province with the announcement of the ASEAN plus China, Japan and ROK Culture Cities Yangzhou Initiative.

The 4rd Yangzhou International Lighting Festival will open at Marco Polo Flowers Ocean Theme Park in Yangzhou, in eastern Jiangsu province, on July 20.

Yangzhou in East China's Jiangsu province held a dragon boat race June 9, the last day of this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday. The race attracted 16 amateur teams from all walks of life.

The historical play, Jianzhen, created by the research institute of Yangzhou opera, will be staged at Yangzhou Grand Theater, in eastern Jiangsu province, on June 5, kicking off its Jiangsu tour.

The annual Shaobo Lake Crayfish Festival commenced in Shaobo ancient town in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on May 21.
