While soaking in the breathtaking waterside scenery on the boat, youngsters listened to detailed explanations associated with Yangzhou and the ancient canal. One student from South Sudan shared his understanding of canal culture and expressed his love for it.

Two inheritors of the Yangzhou lacquering technique, Qu Zhan and Zhang Yu, introduced and demonstrated the local traditional artistry. Then, under their expert guidance, students engaged in a hands-on activity to craft lacquer artworks, experiencing the allure of intangible cultural heritage handicrafts firsthand.
